After success on Broadway, the musical Hadestown is finally coming to London!
Hadestown is based on the famous Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, and set in a post-apocalyptic world.
Orpheus is an exceptionally talented young musician and when he meets Eurydice, a young woman looking for a wonderful life, it's love at first sight. The two young people quickly make future plans.
But when the master of Hadestown, the thriving underground city, offers Eurydice a job, she accepts and leaves the outside world. Devastated, Orpheus goes to Hadestown to try and bring back the woman he loves.
Book nowHadestown was created in 2006 in La Barre, Vermont. Ten years later, the show moved to off-Broadway and then to Canada and London. It finally came to Broadway in 2019 where it won eight Tony Awards, including best musical and best score.
This musical has had a strong fan base since its off-Broadway production at New York Theatre Workshop, where it holds the record for the longest-running show.
Created by singer Anaïs Mitchell, Hadestown was one of only four musicals entirely written by a women (music, lyrics and book).
With its moving story, unexpected setting and folk and blues music, Hadestown is a musical which both the public and American critics have fallen in love with. A must-see phenomenon!

This is a tremendous show. Every musician and member of the cast was outstanding. The story and music were very powerful. The setting and costumes were interesting, I even enjoyed watching the cast move the props! I loved every aspect of it and was sad when it ended. I shall be recommending it to all my family and friends.

Every venue has been renovated recently with evey seat giving you a good view of the stage. However, the further you are from the stage, the further you are from the magic. The seats marked by a half-coloured circle indicate less good visibility (these seats are often at the back and so you can't see the whole set). We recommend avoiding them when selecting your seats.
We accept most bank cards via our secure payment system (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
Ticket prices are set by venues and productions. Even though the majority of musicals are suitable for children, there is no preferential child ticket.
Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded unless in the event of force majeure (the performance is cancelled or interrupted). If this is the case, the venue or event organiser will contact you to begin the refund process.
An advertised actor can be replaced by another actor without any prior warning. Unfortunately, this is not a valid reason for requesting a refund.
Taking photos and videos is generally prohibited in venues.
