Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is a totally unique and quirky musical. It's completely based on the audience's suggestions: the cast then improvise based on the suggested topics. Dancing, singing, everything is immediately transformed into an improvised musical with the beat invented in an instant and the musicians on set.
Book nowThis bold and surprising comedy musical is different with each performance. Since its debut, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical has "created" more than 80 shows due to the ingenuity and inventiveness of the cast and the audience's ideas! The cast includes around a dozen artists, with seven on stage for each performance. Guest singers feature from time to time. A group of musicians who improvise live complete the troupe!
It's a totally interactive show with the audience giving the cast the title, setting, and style of the show. As a result, singers imitate a number of composers or musical genres.
This concept has existed since 2008, and after various tours, it's come to London with 10 years of experience and success. The cast constantly reinvent themselves and surprise us with their imagination, spoofs and parodies which they create using other musical styles.
The cast's only guidance during the show is the audience's applause. But they get by magnificently with an excellent sense of humour. Showstopper! will surprise you and give you a very unique evening. The references and winks to other musicals will make fans smile.
Showstopper! The Improvised Musical won an Olivier Award in 2016 for Best Entertainment and Family show.
